Depois de Marc Almond ter apresentado uma caixa antológica no ano passado, em 2018 é a vez de os Soft Cell fazerem chegar ao mercado uma edição especial que irá propor um olhar panorâmico (e detalhado) sobre a sua discografia, abarcando tanto o período original de trabalhos entre finais da década de 70 e o ponto final revelado em 1984, como o reencontro que lhes deu mais um álbum de estúdio, uma digressão e um registo gravado ao vivo. A caixa, com 9 CD e um DVD, tem por título Keychains & Snowstorms – The Soft Cell Story e data de edição agendada para 7 de setembro.

O CD1 inclui as versões máxi dos singles editados na primeira etapa de vida do grupo. O CD2 acrescenta lados B (alguns deles também nas suas versões longas). No CD3 haverá remisturas mais recentes de clássicos dos Soft Cell, criadas pelo próprio Dave Ball. No CD4 surge uma coleção de inéditos, entre os quais a versão longa de Forever the Same, que esteve para ser o terceiro single do álbum The Art of Falling Apart. O CD5 inclui uma recolha de gravações dos primeiros anos de vida dos Soft Cell, incluindo maquetes e o EP de 1980 Mutant Moments. O CD6 inclui uma recolha de gravações que o grupo efetuou para a BBC e ainda temas de Cruelty Without Beauty, o álbum que os Soft Cell criaram por ocasião da sua reunião. O CD7 é uma proposta para pista de dança criada por Dave Ball com o título Non Stop Euphoric Dubbing. Os CD 8 e 9 juntam gravações ao vivo, entre as quais atuações nos EUA em 1983, registos do concerto de despedida em 1984 e material gravado na digressão de reunião de 2003-03.
O DVD que completa a caixa inclui o material editado em vídeo como The Non Stop Exotic Video Show, alguns outros telediscos e atuações na televisão.
